A bill allowing peaceful assemblies  in freedom parks, privately owned lots and the campuses of government-operated educational institutions without the need  to secure permits from state authorities has been endorsed for plenary approval by the House Committee on People’s Participation. 

The House committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms chaired by Representative Fredenil Castro has approved for plenary debates a measure that would make election service non-compulsory on the part of public school teachers.

Representatives Ma. Victoria Sy-Alvarado and Juliet Cortuna have jointly proposed a measure that would ease the  income tax burden of  taxpayers whose dwellings have been totally destroyed by  natural calamities.

A partylist lawmaker wants indigent applicants exempted from the payment of fees for professional licensure, civil service eligibility and police eligibility examinations.

The House Committee on Labor and Employment  chaired by Davao City Rep. Karlo Alexei Nograles has approved a measure seeking to ensure that the claims of workers are given first priority in case their employers file for bankruptcy.
